Employment standards for this facility are consistent with EEOC for all people applying for or holding this position. 

High School Diploma 
RN or LPN preferred and must participate in ongoing continuing education. Assisted Living Management Certification must be obtained within one year of taking the Assisted Living Director position. 

Essential Functions: 

1.    Develop and maintain referral list and market the Care Center and Assisted Living to all referral sources.
2.    Make daily rounds to check the appearance of the Care Center and Assisted Living. Notify the appropriate department heads of any problems, and get an update from the nursing department regarding any discharge activity overnight.
3.    Communicate with hospitals on status of hospitalized residents and inquire about their return to the facility.
4.    Respond to all phone and in person inquiries.
5.    Tour potential clients.
6.    Screen and gather data on all potential clients for possible admission.
7.    Facilitate resident room changes.
8.    Contact families regarding bed hold, if appropriate.
9.    Complete all required admission paperwork.
10.    Understand levels of care and payment source requirements.
