Poem written by Villa

Of all the poems I have written

I shall put with all the rest.

From the large highway signs made on the garage floor,

to little ones on buttons done for supervisors at best.

The parade sings will always never change

they make the days go by so fast

If only they would stay a little longer with all of the rest.

I met my husband at a dance, but it didn’t last,

before I knew it, he had gone to heaven with all the rest.

I learned to be a farmer’s wife, a mechanics wife

and a mother to three adopted children.

They have given me the life to go on

so many stories and poems I have written

brings memories, galore.

I hope to be remembered as I could write many, many more.
